Slip into the sea, sink below the waves, let the blue come over you aha aha • Mindful where you step, everything’s alive don't forget to take your breath aha aha • Taste the salty spray, bitter on the tongue, close your eyes wait for the surprise aha aha • Nobody likes the sting of the water in their eyes. It’s a compromise, but I don’t need your lies • I don’t want to play the fool for you no more, ‘cause it ain’t cool no more to play the fool, oh no no no no • Taste the salty spray, bitter on the tongue, close your eyes wait for the surprise aha aha • Mindful where you step, ‘cause everything’s alive don’t forget to take your breath • One last drag on my cigarette aha aha aha

You told yourself so many times that your words aren’t worth a dime, but I’m here to say, that there’s just no way • Kept your voice silent from afar, you never felt you’d break the jar, but it’s your day, and I’m here to say • it’s no accident, you found me on a crowded street • It’s no accident, our crooked stories had to meet • It’s no accident • You belong here • Made your way got through the day, played your part, held back your heart, just enough to keep the waters rough • Did the things expected of you, made your eyes bright, smiles tight, just behind the promises you broke to yourself • It’s no accident that I was here to dry your tears • It’s no accident that I could see right past the fears • It’s no accident • You belong here • Hey can’t you see, it’s always been me • Try to believe the truth that we seek • One day soon you’ll realize birds of a feather flock together • It’s what they say, and baby it’s okay • ‘Cause it’s no accident • You belong here

Take me along where the sun sits high, and the air is heady. It’s never too late to right your wrongs. Take me along • Take me back where we just lose track of the days and nights. It feels just right. Take me back where you and I belong • I never thought I’d miss you so. You took my breath and now I know. I could never undo what’s been done to me. I would never undo what’s been done me • Take me along where the tide is strong and the boundless sky crowns a mountain song. Take me along. Take me along • Take me back to the land of the long white cloud where I’ve seen the trees touch the heavens. Take me back where you and I belong • Take me along to the land of the long white cloud. Take me along, I want to stay with you

Well I’ve got friends to help me out. To take my hand. Lead me about. I’ve got friends who know everything about me, and like me anyway • Well I’ve got friends who give their advice. Some I may heed. The others I don’t think twice. I’ve got friends who know everything about me, and like me anyway • I’ve got your back you know it’s true. And when we part we’ll bid a fond adieu • Well I’ve got friends who’ve stuck around. And sometimes it sucks. But sometimes we just get down. I’ve got friends. Who know everything about me and like me anyway • I’ve got your back you know it’s true. And when we part we’ll bid a fond adieu • Well I’ve got friends tried and true. It never fails. We always sail on through. I’ve got friends who know everything about me, and like me anyway. They like me anyway

I Swear 02:31
We’ve been together for a good long time, even when it felt like things might fall apart • Rough roads we’ve taken got us here at last. I’m ready when you’re ready to take my hand • I can’t promise you diamonds and gold, but there’s one thing that’s always been true • I swear my love to you • You know me better than I know myself. You’re the only one who keeps me true • I ain’t never felt better with how things are. Let love take us where we need to go • Though I can’t promise you diamonds and gold, there’s one thing that’s always been true • I swear my love to you • moons will rise, there’s no denying the pull of love is pointing, guiding us home • ain’t never felt better with how things are • our love is going to take us farther than anyone imagined we could go • I swear my love • I swear my love • I swear my love to you
6.
Careful, that’s what my father said, before I jumped so high and I broke my bed • He said slowly when you chew the fat • my fever’s coming back before the last one’s gone • It’s not the third thing that killed my father off • I never knew, I never saw it coming • No, it’s not the last thing I remember • the reckless rain, a hollow pain, the Pontiac that drove forever • And I can’t imagine the perfect companion to all of this meaning • a careful confusion at it’s best • Forget the rest-less-ness • Forget the restlessness • Sacrifice, that’s what it’s all about, turning the mice to men, doing it all again • Watch out the rebel will call your name and somehow relieve the shame of ignoring what matters most • And it’s not the third thing that killed my father off • I never knew, I never saw it coming • It’s not the last thing I remember • Geronimo, a wicked blow, a sound that echoed on forever • And I can’t imagine a perfect companion to all of this meaning • a careful confusion at it’s best • Forget the rest-less-ness • Forget the restlessness

Flyin' 02:25
Well you’ve been cheatin’ • lyin’ • now you’re beggin’ and cryin’ • who’s the fool • you can bet it ain’t gonna be me • ‘cause when you’re beggin’ • cryin’ • I’ll be takin’ off and flyin’ far away • far from you today • today’s like a bad story • takin’ from the pages of a sad romance • no guts no glory • I’m takin’ what’s mine while I’ve got the chance • I’m gonna count my lucky stars that light the way • ‘cause when you’re beggin’ • cryin’ I’ll be takin’ off and flyin’ far away • far from you today
8.
You Got Me 03:27
You don’t call me baby anymore • You don’t flash that smile at me like you often did before • I wonder what’s broken • My love ain’t no token • You got me • How I need the warmth of your hands on me • this simple woman needs your company • don’t leave it unspoken • let’s fix what’s broken • You got me • Well you go me, I got you • Honey it’s sweet • and all we got to do • is shake it up, mix it up, and groove like we’ve never grooved • Well don’t you remember the heat and the embers • and the fire that used to burn inside your pit • ain’t no time to quit • our love is still a hit • you got me •

Great Days 03:49
She pins her hair behind her ears. And closes the door so the kids won’t hear her shuffling around looking for her shoes. Headed to the factory to pay her dues. She won’t have to wait for the bus no more. Got her new blue Ford with the dent in the door. Turns the radio on for the news of the day. The report is grim. But she won’t forget to pray for the air she breathes, her kids dirty knees, for a life that allows her to dream. Lalalalalala…she swings and sways. These are great days. She takes the pins from behind her ears. Her fingers ache but her mind is clear from the clutter of machines and the running of the day. Draws her children near. She reminds them to pray for the air they breathe, the blue of the sea, for a life that allows them their dirty knees, the fruit on the trees, for a life that allows them to dream. Lalalalalala….they swing and sway. These are great days.

The studebaker - the pontiac- cadillac and ford. Some will be recycled and some will be restored. But somebody’s got you thinkin’ that the best way to survive is just to drive, drive, drive. But I’m here to tell you friends - if things haven’t gone too far, don’t lay your treasures up in some big shiny car. Cause with less money that you’ve wasted and less time than it took to make it you coulda walked around the world • You coulda walked through the jungle and seen victoria falls, you coulda seen the pyramids and the taj mahal. You coulda seen the holy land - put yourself in jesus shoes. You coulda walked around the world • you coulda walked around the world, you coulda walked around the world. you coulda seen the holy land - put yourself in jesus shoes. you coulda walked around the world • You coulda walked beside some river - watched the sunlight melt the frost. you coulda slept out under the northern lights or the southern cross. you coulda danced with danger - made good friends outta total strangers. you coulda walked around the world • You coulda learned how to heal instead of makin’ people sick. You coulda learned first hand just what it is that makes somebody tick. You coulda talked with masters ‘stead of jabberin’ with fools. You coulda walked around the world • you coulda walked around the world. you coulda walked around the world. you coulda talked with masters ‘stead of arguin’ with fools. you coulda walked around the world • You coulda leaned into the wind of four strong winds ‘stead of drivin’ round town collectin’ useless odds and ends. ’stead of going nowhere you coulda lived a life of destinations. You coulda walked around the world • you coulda climbed the eiffel tower - seen the lights of gay paris. watched little dogs flight for power up in washington dc. someday you will remember you’re a child of mother earth and you coulda walked around the world • you coulda walked around the world. you coulda walked around the world. someday you will remember you’re a child of mother earth and you coulda walked around the world.
